Snow and Sails…Brassy and Bright

This is another brass sculpture I have. It’s a boat under sail. The sails are of brass. I’ve placed it on the railing of the deck in about dive inches of snow. I’ve used a blue filter, and then used a scaled saturation process to enhance the brashness of the copper and the ice of the colder colors… producing this fine contrast.

  1. looks like you got a bit of snow. Funny that you’re getting the snow, and in upstate NY we can see the grass. We had an odd warm spell last week and it melted the little bit of snow we had. It’s been a crazy winter. 58 degrees last week, and -15 with the windchill this week. Mother Nature is not happy!

  2. This is really cool-looking! I like the way you made the boat look like it’s sailing in the snow 😉
